Spring TX Dental Implants

There is still hope if you have lost one or more teeth owing to periodontal disease or another cause. Dental implants are transforming people’s lives! They are intended to serve as the foundation for replacement teeth that look, feel, and function similarly to real teeth. The individual who has lost teeth regains the ability to eat almost anything and can smile confidently, knowing that their teeth will appear natural, and their facial contours will be retained.

What exactly are dental implants?

Dental implants are little titanium or ceramic posts that are inserted into the jawbone to replace missing teeth. These metal anchors serve as tooth root replacements.

The bone fuses with the titanium or ceramic, forming a solid basis for new teeth. Dental implants also help to preserve facial shape by reducing bone degradation caused by tooth loss.

If you, like many others, believe implant dentistry is the right decision for you, we will ask you to undertake a dental/radiographic examination as well as a health history. Dr. Koutrach will address your individual requirements and concerns throughout these consultation meetings. Your questions and concerns are important to us, and our team will work closely with you to ensure the success of your surgery.

At this point, we will also go over costs and insurance. We will gladly help you collect any benefits to which you may be entitled.

What Kinds of Prostheses Are There?

A single prosthesis (crown) is used to replace a single missing tooth; each prosthetic tooth is attached to its own implant. A fixed bridge (partial prosthesis) can replace two or more teeth and may only require two implants. A complete dental prosthesis (fixed or detachable bridge) replaces all of your upper or lower jaw teeth. The quantity of implants used varies according to biological and biomechanical parameters.

The Surgical Method

For the vast majority of patients, the insertion of dental implants entails two surgical procedures. First, implants are inserted into your jawbone. Healing period after surgery varies from person to person and is determined by a number of factors. Implants may be repaired shortly after placement in some situations.

Dental implants remain beneath the surface of the gums for the first three months after surgery, gradually connecting with the jawbone. You should be able to eat a soft diet while wearing a temporary tooth replacement. At the same time, your restorative dentist creates the final permanent teeth, which will improve both function and appearance.

The second phase begins once the implant has adhered to the jawbone. Dr. Koutrach will remove the implants and replace them with a tiny healing collar. After several weeks, we will be able to begin the fabrication of your replacement teeth. There will be an impression made. The implants can then be attached with posts or attachments. The replacement teeth are then fitted over the posts or attachments.
